 I have had the great pleasure of getting to know Pam Caylor. In the first moments of talking with her I knew she was passionate about life, especially for the unborn. She says,"A life is most important in the lasting positive impact it has on other lives. God’s will is never about just us – never. It will always positively impact the lives of others! Likewise, our sin never affects just us. It too, will always impact the lives of others."
Pam is the director for the First Choice Pregnancy Services in Las Vegas, Nevada.Called by God to serve the women at highest risk to abortion, the medical facility is located strategically in the midst of the abortion "hot-zone" in Las Vegas, on the same street in close proximity to what's believed to be the busiest abortion clinic in southern Nevada. It is amazing to me that when Pam first came to the clinic they were seeing around 65 women a month and this month they are seeing over 600 with 217 babies saved.
What impressed me most was Pam's knowledge and quick action to save a baby after the mother had started the abortion proceedure. The young woman had walked out of the clinic when her friend was there to talk with her. Pam told the friend to ask if the baby had been injected to stop its heart from beating. The young woman said it had not been done but she regretted that she had done the abortion. Pam said it could be reversed if she wanted. The young woman agreed and Pam began calling doctors to see if they would remove the laminaria inserted to dilate the cervix so that the baby can be removed. The woman returns to the clinic after 24 hours for removal of the baby. After finding two doctors, there in Las Vegas, that would remove the laminaria, the young woman was taken to a hospital. The doctors agreed to take care of the young woman until she delivered. But there were no guarantees. Forty-eight hours passed before they knew for sure that the precious baby girl she was carrying would be safe. The young woman's father was standing next to her in the hospital crying saying he was happy his grandchild would live. He never wanted the abortion.
So because of one woman's, Pam Caylor's, quick thinking a life was saved. Who knew you could do a reversal? I didn't. So I am doing my part in telling everyone I know.
